Wageningen University & Research en het Chinese bedrijf Tencent hebben vandaag de derde editie van de Autonomous Greenhouse Challenge aangekondigd. In deze wedstrijd worden experts vanuit de hele wereld met een achtergrond in AI, glastuinbouw, sensortechniek, gewasfysiologie uitgedaagd om onder meer de klimaatbeheersing en irrigatie in een kas volledig autonoom en op afstand aan te laten sturen door kunstmatige intelligentie. Dit jaar gaat het om de productie van sla.

De 46e editie van de Foodex Japan is op 9 maart jl. in hybride vorm begonnen met zo’n 1.300 exposanten in de Makuhari Messe.
