Highlights Agroberichten Buitenland week 46, 2023

Donderdag 2 november jongstleden vond het LNV Attaché Netwerk evenement plaats. LNV raden en LNV attachés (ook bekend als landbouwraden en -attachés) van over de hele wereld kwamen bijeen in EXPO Greater Amsterdam in Vijfhuizen om in gesprek te gaan met Nederlandse bedrijven, kennisinstellingen, belangenorganisaties en andere stakeholders in het internationale domein van landbouw, natuur en voedsel. Hoewel het buiten flink stormde, weerhield dat de gasten er niet van om vanuit alle hoeken van Nederland naar de bijeenkomst te komen. De opkomst was ondanks de weersomstandigheden dan ook boven verwachting. Meer dan 350 gasten werden bijgepraat of lieten zich voorlichten over kansen en mogelijkheden in het buitenland.

De Nederlandse ambassade in België ondersteunt de Nederlandse agrofood bedrijven bij hun internationale stappen op de Belgische markt. Vaak weten Nederlandse bedrijven Belgische klanten zelf te vinden, vooral in Vlaanderen. Wallonië ligt wat lastiger, onder andere vanwege de taal. Maar hoe zit het nu eigenlijk met de Nederlands-Waalse handel in het algemeen en de Nederlands-Waalse agrofood handel in het bijzonder?

Het aantal heggen op het platteland in Frankrijk blijft afnemen, terwijl heggen belangrijk zijn voor het behoud van biodiversiteit en aanpassing aan de gevolgen van klimaatverandering. De Franse regering trekt daarom 110 miljoen euro uit voor het ‘Heggenpact’, met als ambitie om tegen 2030 een netto toename van 50.000 km aan heggen te bereiken.

Bavaria's government, a state in southern Germany, launched the Bavarian Biodiversity Strategy, which aims to protect and enhance the state's ecological diversity. One of the key components of this strategy is the Bavarian Program for Contractual Nature Protection (Bayerisches Vertragsnaturschutzprogramm). This program's flexibility and the possibility to combine measures make it accessible to different nature conservation requirements. Projects like A.ckwert and Green Band help farmers and landowners learn about their options and discover how to work more nature-inclusively.

In augustus van dit jaar plaatste het ministerie van Landbouw, Natuur en Voedselkwaliteit een LNV raad op de Nederlandse ambassade in Astana, met als werkgebied Kazachstan, Oezbekistan en Kirgizië. LNV raad Arie Veldhuizen presenteerde zich eerder met een interview via onze website. Begin november was secretaris-generaal Jan-Kees Goet in Kazachstan om de schijnwerper te zetten op de opening van de LNV-afdeling, én om de Agroworld beurs in Almaty te openen.
