Greenhouse in South Korea 2026

The Agriculture Team (LAN) at the Netherlands Embassy in Seoul is pleased to announce the release of its latest report on the South Korean greenhouse sector. Originally developed for the Horticulture Mission in February 2026, this report is now being shared with all stakeholders. It arrives at a critical time as the Korean horticultural industry—while maintaining a high vegetable self-sufficiency rate of over 80%—undergoes a rapid transition from traditional farming to mid- and high-tech greenhouse systems to address labor and demand shifts.
