Ukraine Agriculture and Food Security Platform Meeting

The war in Ukraine is having an immense impact – especially in the field of agriculture and food security. Recovery and reconstruction of the country will require longstanding international efforts and cooperation. The Netherlands wants to make a fair contribution to these efforts, through the mobilization of Dutch companies and organizations. Particularly in those areas where the Dutch have specific knowledge and know-how, we want to make an extra effort. However, the war has also dramatically changed the scope for doing business.

To support and find synergy in the Dutch efforts to help Ukraine, platforms for Agriculture & Food Security, Water, and Healthcare are initiated.
These platforms have a special focus on possible public private partnership contributions to the early recovery and reconstruction of Ukraine.

As you have direct or indirect links to Ukraine and/or are active in the agricultural domain, we kindly invite you to take part in the Starting Meeting of the Ukraine Agriculture and Food Security Platform.

This meeting will take place on April 26 2023, from 10:00 to 12:30 hours.

With this first platform meeting, we aim to connect and engage with parties from the public, private, knowledge, and NGO sectors in the broad field of agriculture for collaborations in the recovery of Ukraine.

Our main purpose is twofold;

• to inform you on the development of the Agriculture & Food Security Platform,
• to invite you to participate, become active, and come forward with ideas, suggestions, and initiatives in support of the recovery and reconstruction of (and with) the Ukrainian agriculture sector.

In-person participation of this first meeting is advised and strongly encouraged for those interested to join our upcoming activities in 2023.
