UNICROP Limited Liability Partnership has launched an agricultural drone assembly plant in the Zhambyl region, designed to produce up to 500-1,000 units of equipment per year, the correspondent of the Kapital Business Information Centre reports with reference to the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture.
The company plans to sell 50-60 drones in 2025, and at least 150 units of equipment in 2026.
"The main purpose of the equipment is to provide farmers and agricultural enterprises with advanced solutions for precision farming, including effective spraying of crops, fertilisation, monitoring of plant health using multispectral cameras. The use of UNICROP agrodrones allows saving water, fertilisers and fuel and lubricants, increasing crop yields, reducing costs of mechanisation and manual labour, minimising soil compaction and damage to plants," the ministry said.
The company organises training for agro drone pilots. The range of field processing services in Southern Kazakhstan will also be expanded. Negotiations are already underway with dealers in the Kyzylorda and Turkestan regions.
Earlier, Minister of Trade and Integration Arman Shakkaliyev announced the development of a marketplace for agricultural products trading in Kazakhstan. The service will provide a direct digital connection between manufacturers, retail chains and government agencies, eliminating intermediary chains and opaque product sales schemes. Later, the Prime Minister instructed the Ministry of Agriculture to develop mechanisms to stimulate the work of agricultural producers through the agromarketplace.
