The Irish National Ploughing Championships: opportunities for Dutch Agri-food startups
The National Ploughing Championships (NPC), Ireland’s largest agricultural event, and Europe’s largest outdoor agricultural trade exhibition, will take place from 20 to 22 September 2022 in Ratheniska, Co. Laois (Approx 1hr 15mins from Dublin). Traditionally an event for competitive ploughing and machinery enthusiasts, the modern event now features something for everyone. The 3-day event incorporates a platform for showcasing agricultural products, innovations and services as well as plenty of networking and knowledge sharing opportunities. In addition to an array of trade exhibitions, the event includes lots of entertainment, celebrity guests and broadcasting. The NPC attracts in excess of 1,700 exhibitors and up to 297,000 visitors making it a worthwhile networking opportunity for many agri-food companies.
Innovation Arena
The Netherlands embassy in Ireland have previously participated in the NPC through Enterprise Ireland’s Innovation arena with a Dutch Agri-Food Innovation Booth, where Dutch Agri-Food startups had the opportunity to present their ideas and innovations.
The NPA & Enterprise Ireland Innovation Arena puts inventions and innovations on show to the world and helps establish their success by introducing them to the marketplace and facilitating networks that will help them take steps towards achieving commercial success. We’ve seen a number of individuals and companies launch new products and innovations at the NPC Innovation Arena who have gone on to achieve global success. The NPA & Enterprise Ireland Innovation Arena is the ideal place to demonstrate ground-breaking developments, whether they are back-yard inventions or professional innovations, to thousands of visitors.
