Dutch-Colombian collaboration awards more than 200 title deeds to residents of the Colombian municipality of Cumaribo

On Wednesday, March 17th, 226 property titles were handed out during an official ceremony in the municipality of Cumaribo (Vichada). These titles are the result of a Dutch-Colombian inter-institutional collaboration between the Mayor's Office of the municipality, the Superintendency of Notaries and Registry, the Colombian Cadaster – IGAC, the Netherlands' Cadastre, Land Registry and Mapping Agency – Kadaster and the Dutch Embassy in Colombia, under the framework of the project “Land in Peace”. By using Kadaster’s 'Fit for purpose' methodology, the process of land formalization can become faster, more cost-efficient and participative.
