Poland: demonstration project irrigation in potatoes

W ostatnich latach uprawa ziemniaków staje się dużym wyzwaniem w Polsce. W 2020 roku konsorcjum holenderskich firm, wspierane przez holenderski rząd, rozpoczęło w Polsce projekt pt. „Scans-Sensors-Satellites for Improved Irrigation”.

Growing potatoes in Poland has been a major challenge in recent years. In 2020, a consortium of Dutch companies, supported by the Dutch government, started the project “Scans-Sensors-Satellites for improved irrigation” in Poland. The first results of the project were presented in August to a group of Polish companies during a field meeting. With 20% less water, the yield of the potatoes was increased by 18 tons per hectare in 2020. For our Polish readers we have translated the article which was published in Potato World Magazine about this project.

The article was published in Dutch in the september issue of Potato World Magazine. You can find the article here: Project dripirrigatie in Polen (rmacompany.nl)
