After nearly three years, Poland has finally gained access to EU funds. On Thursday, the European Commission formally unblocked 137 billion euros for Poland in National Housing Plan and cohesion policy funds. This paves the way for the payment of 6.3 billion EUR to Poland under the National Recovery Plan.

The population of geese in Poland is subject to relatively small changes and in recent years has been at the lever of about 1 million head. Geese bred in Poland are used mainly for consumption purposes. Of great economic importance are also goose feathers and down that are used as a filler with very good thermal properties.

The 29^th edition of the International Fair of Agricultural Technology in Kielce goes down as a record in terms of the number of visitors. In this edition, 520 companies from 17 countries presented (in 2023 there were 450 from 15 countries), including the Dutch Pavilion on the PIB Soil Improvement Poland.

Forests in Romania represent a capital value, given the ecosystem services they provide to society. The country has a forest area of 7 million hectares, according to the Romanian National Forest Inventory (NFI). Although 29% of the area is being forested, it is below the European Union (EU) average of 39%. The functional zoning of national forests contributes to the main provision of ecosystem services for water regulation, erosion control and climate protection for 42% of Romania's national forest estate.

On March 8, Foodex Japan 2024, a 4-day annual trade show specialized in food and beverage, concluded successfully. The trade show, the largest of its kind in Asia, attracted more than 76.000 professional visitors. At the NL pavilion, organised by ExportPartner, as many as 16 Dutch food & beverage exporters joined forces in showcasing a wide range of premium Dutch products to disseminate the strengths of the Netherlands F&B industry: sustainability and innovation.
