Highlights Agroberichten Buitenland is de wekelijkse nieuwsbrief van het LNV Attaché Netwerk. U wordt iedere week geattendeerd op nieuws, activiteiten en achtergrondinformatie van onze landbouwteams die werkzaam zijn op de economische afdelingen van 60 Nederlandse ambassades en/of consulaten en van daaruit 80 landen bedienen. EUROPE - Frankrijk: minister van Landbouw neemt Italië als lichtend voorbeeld

Dinsdag 24 oktober werden de jaarlijkse prijzen voor de agrarische pers uitgereikt. Het uiterst degelijke digitale weekblad Agrapresse won de prijs, niet verrassend. Wat wel verrassend was, waren de uitspraken van de Franse minister van landbouw Fesneau in het interview dat daarna werd afgenomen. Fesneau spreekt zich uit over voedselsoevereiniteit, handel en imago.

For that, the government needs to help farmers adapt their agricultural systems to nature, strengthen national capacities for management and create effective safety nets for smallholder farmers.

- Ghana: Nederland Paviljoen Agrofood Ghana 2023

De Nederlandse ambassade in Ghana en de RVO faciliteren van 21 november tot 23 november een Nederland Paviljoen voor het Nederlandse bedrijfsleven op Agrofood Ghana 2023. In samenwerking met GNBCC organiseert East-West Trade het paviljoen op de beurs. De ambassade organiseert een seminar en andere activiteiten en GNBCC organiseert de matchmaking voor de deelnemers.

- South Africa: state and ministerial visits to see biodiversity and climate-smart agriculture

On the 18th of October, King Willem-Alexander and Queen Máxima commenced their three-day State visit to South Africa. The visit was complemented by a visit of Minister Adema, Agro DG Guido Landheer and an agriculture economic mission. This visit strengthens South Africa-Dutch relationships, which trace back several hundred years.

MIDDLE EAST - Saudi Arabia: Agriculture Exhibition’s 40th anniversary with the Netherlands as guest country of the year

Saudi Agriculture is the biggest agricultural & food exhibition in the Gulf and celebrated its 40th anniversary during this year’s edition, which took place from October 23 to 26. This year proved to be special all the more so, as the Netherlands was assigned ‘Guest Country of the Year’ by the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture. Doing full justice to this honor, the Netherlands exhibited its largest pavilion at Saudi Agriculture to date and the incoming delegation of companies presented state-of-the-art Dutch technologies in agriculture.
