In July 2026, Kazakhstan’s agricultural future was on full display at the tenth Jańa Dala / Green Day exhibition in the Akmola Region. For two days, the fields of JSC “Agrofirma Aqtyq” became a showcase for modern farming technologies.

More than 200 companies from 26 countries presented over 500 machines and solutions, ranging from agricultural drones and precision-farming systems to advanced livestock technologies.
What makes Jańa Dala / Green Day different from a traditional agricultural exhibition is its strong practical focus. Machinery and technologies are demonstrated directly in the field, allowing farmers to see how they perform under real conditions. This reflects Kazakhstan’s growing interest in precision farming, automation, digital monitoring and smarter use of agricultural resources.

Strong Dutch presence
The Netherlands had a prominent presence at Jańa Dala / Green Day 2026. During the opening ceremony, Dutch Ambassador Nico Schermers highlighted the close partnership between Kazakhstan and the Netherlands in developing more sustainable food production systems.

At the Dutch pavilion, companies including APH Group, PHS and Van der Ploeg presented their technologies and solutions. Heineken also participated in the exhibition. The Dutch presence reflected the broader cooperation between the two countries in areas such as agricultural technology, efficient crop production, seeds and planting material, resource management and the digitalization of agriculture.

From smart fields to a smarter future
Digitalization is already becoming part of everyday farming in Kazakhstan. More than 650 agricultural enterprises are using technologies such as GPS navigation, digital field maps, satellite monitoring, soil sensors, variable-rate application systems and drones.
Such technologies are particularly relevant as farmers face increasing climate pressures. Kazakhstan’s often dry conditions require more efficient use of water, fertilizers and crop-protection products. Data from satellites, sensors and drones can help farmers understand what is happening in their fields and make faster and more precise decisions.
At the same time, Jańa Dala showed that agricultural development is about more than technology. Professional skills, agricultural knowledge and livestock breeding remain equally important. This combination of technology, people and international cooperation is shaping the future of Kazakhstan’s agriculture.
Jańa Dala / Green Day 2026 demonstrated that this transition is already underway. Through cooperation with international partners such as the Netherlands, Kazakhstan can combine its enormous agricultural potential with new knowledge, technologies and practical solutions for a more productive and sustainable agricultural sector.
