From 8 to 11 June 2026, a delegation of Moldovan growers will visit the Netherlands. The program includes participation in GreenTech and a series of field visits across the country. The mission concludes on 11 June with the Benelux-Moldova Business Forum, held at Kasteel Elsloo (Maasberg).
The program on 11 June will bring together high-level Moldovan officials and businesses alongside their Benelux counterparts. The day will feature:
- Opening remarks by Moldovan high level officials;
- A country presentation by Invest Moldova Agency on Moldova's economic profile, investment climate, and business opportunities;
- A sectoral panel covering Moldova's high-potential sectors;
- A session on partnership and business development instruments, covering support mechanisms available on the Moldovan, Dutch, Belgian, and EU sides; and
- Individual B2B matchmaking sessions with Moldovan companies.
Moldova opened EU accession negotiations in June 2024 and is preparing substantial investment in infrastructure, energy, and logistics. The Forum offers Dutch companies a structured entry point into this process. Speakers include the Moldovan Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Development and Digitalization, the Minister of Agriculture and Food Industry and representatives of Invest Moldova. On the Dutch side, FMO, Invest International, and RVO will present the financing instruments and support mechanisms available to companies considering market entry.
Dutch companies with an interest in agribusiness, food processing, logistics, or infrastructure are invited to join at the Benelux-Moldova Business Forum on 11 June. Kindly register via this form.
Moldovan- Dutch horticultural opportunities
The Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, Food Security and Nature of the Netherlands works closely with the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry of the Republic of Moldova. The partnership focuses on strengthening Moldova’s horticultural and dairy supply chains and explicitly adopts a triple helix approach: businesses, research and educational institutions, and public authorities are working together on innovation, implementation and upscaling. By combining these strengths, climate-resilient, economically viable and future-proof food production systems can be successfully implemented in Moldova.
