Biodiversity Project in Ukraine - Nature park Beremytske

Three plots with total area of ​​​​over 30 hectares were allocated for the project, the vegetation of which was damaged or destroyed after industrial logging and fires, which were largely caused by military factors, such as drone and missile attacks, as well as the activities of local population, coping with difficult economic situation.

Для проекту були виділені 3 ділянки парку загальною площею понад 30 га, рослинність на яких була пошкоджена або знищена після промислових вирубок лісу та пожеж, які значною мірою були спричинені воєнними факторами, такими як атаки дронів та ракет, а також діяльністю місцевого населення, яке долає складну економічну ситуацію.

It is expected that increasing the quantity and quality of tree species in the natural park will influence the development of a multi-level forest ecosystem.

Increasing soil fertility through the planting of cover plants and the introduction of organic fertilizers obtained from park animals will keep moisture in the soil and better vegetation during dry weather.

Очікується, що збільшення кількості та якості видів дерев у природному парку вплине на розвиток багаторівневої лісової екосистеми.

Підвищення родючості ґрунту шляхом посадки сидератів та внесення органічних добрив, отриманих від власних тварин, дозволить зберегти вологу в ґрунті та покращити вегетацію в посушливу погоду.

Increase in the quantity and quality of herbaceous plant species in the park will affect the development of the plain ecosystem and increase the carrying capacity of the environment for herbivorous animals of the park.

Збільшення кількості та якості трав'янистих видів рослин у парку вплине на розвиток рівнинної екосистеми та збільшить ємність середовища для травоїдних тварин парку.

The main activity of the Park is related to the renewal of ecosystems through the implementation of rewilding methods of creating mosaic landscapes, including through natural grazing. Biodiverse ecosystems considered self-regulating, and thus do not need constant human intervention.

Park “Beremitske” is also a home for animals listed in the Red Book of Ukraine, as they are on the verge of extinction.

Tree planting in park in the framework of biodiversity project is open for anyone. The park invites volunteers and guests to join.

Park has touristic infrastructure not only for individual trips but also for corporate events.

Для висадки дерев в рамках проекту по збільшенню біорізноманіття можуть долучитися усі охочі та небайдужі, парк запрошує волонтерів та гостей. Також в парку наявна інфраструктура для відпочинку та корпоративних заходів.

The team of the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands spent a wonderful day in the park, helped with tree planting and learned about different types of flora and fauna of the park, as well as about the nature conservation activities of the park and the Charitable Organization «Beremytske Biosphere»
