Big dairy farm appears in North Kazakhstan region

The largest project in Central Asia for the construction of a dairy farm with 8,000 heads is being implemented in the North Kazakhstan region. The complex will produce up to 26,000 tonnes of milk per year, the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture reported.

The company has been implementing a large-scale investment project since 2024. The cost of a megafarm for 8,000 cattle will amount to 9 billion tenge. After reaching full capacity, it is expected that the annual production of KT will amount to about 26 thousand tonnes of milk.

The design structure of the complex includes seven buildings, including three cowsheds with 1,280 heads each. A special feature of the farm will be a high-tech milking machine of the carousel type, designed for a one-time production of 90 heads. This will allow servicing up to 700 heads per hour, ensuring high productivity and process efficiency.

The Ministry of Agriculture emphasised that the North Kazakhstan region demonstrates stable dynamics in the development of the dairy industry. In 2023, 19 projects totalling over 11,000 cattle with a capacity of up to 70,000 tonnes of milk per year were funded. In 2024, 17 dairy farms were launched, as well as the implementation of eight more new projects, their launch will ensure an increase in production by another 10,000 tonnes of milk annually.

In 2025, the region plans to finance 22 investment projects worth 17 billion tenge, including 11 dairy farms with a total of 7,000 heads, with a projected production volume of up to 47,000 tonnes of milk per year.
