Bulgarian Deputy Minister of Agriculture Nekov

Bulgarian Ministry of Agriculture

The link between theory and practice increases the competitiveness of the sector, the vitality of rural areas and the well-being of farmers, said Momchil Nekov, Ph.D. Deputy Minister of Agriculture. One of the main ways to achieve the objectives of the Common Agricultural Policy in the programming period 2023-2027 is to focus on knowledge and innovation. These activities will be supported in the Member States through the Agricultural Knowledge and Innovation Systems (AKIS), in order to encourage interaction between people and organizations, promote mutual learning, generate, share and use knowledge and information related to agriculture.

As a representative of the Government of the Republic of Bulgaria and in my capacity as Deputy Minister of Agriculture, I would like to encourage joint work to improve the quality of agricultural education - both between specialized universities and secondary schools, and between training and consulting organizations and institutions.

Deputy Minister of Agriculture Momchil Nekov declared the willingness of the Republic of Bulgaria and in particular the Ministry of Agriculture for cooperation and joint work on vocational education, as an essential part of the development of the agricultural sector today.
