French Eurofins becomes the food safety leader in Spain
The French group of laboratories Eurofins has purchased Ecosur laboratories, one of the Spanish leading companies in food safety.
Ecosur, founded more than twenty years ago and based in Murcia, has revenues of around €8 million. It is specialized in developing tools to check and analyze baby food and fruits and vegetables, mainly.
In 2009, Ecosur set up a laboratory in Turkey, which was renovated after a major investment last year.
Eurofins now has six laboratories throughout the world.
