New Spanish regulation on drones
A new Spanish rule establishes the roadmap to follow to boost the development of an incipient sector with high growth potential.
A pioneer in Europe, this recent regulation defines and orders the current framework of action with the objective for companies to position Spain as an international reference in this field.
The Minister for Public Works presented his Strategic Plan for the Development of Drones' Civilian Sector in Spain 2018-2021, in which innovation and technological development play an essential role.
It is still an incipient sector but with important growth expectations, which is expected to multiply its size by 30 in the next 15 years. The National Aviation Safety Agency has already registered 3,000 operators and 74 schools for drones pilots.
