Romanian calendar of launching calls for EU funded projects (CAP-NSP)
The Romanian Ministry of Agriculture has just announced the schedule of calls for projects to be launched by the Agency for Rural Investment Financing - AFIR, this autumn. The applications for funding are related to the interventions under Pillar II of the CAP National Strategic Plan. No less than 10 interventions are expected to be launched this autumn, which means that farmers/entrepreneurs need to hurry up. Applications should be submitted online to AFIR, same as before, once the calls are open.
The most awaited project sessions seem to be DR-20 Investments in the livestock sector (end-November) and DR-30 Support for the installation of young farmers (end-October). Project sessions for irrigation investments will also be launched at the end of November.
The application guidelines shall be published on the websites of the Ministry of Agriculture and AFIR, in Romanian only. For now, only the consultative versions are available (MADR-consultare; AFIR-consultare).
According to the news webportal Agrointeligenta.ro, the race for European non-reimbursable funds is tight as the amounts allocated through NSP interventions are allocated in a single session. In other words, applicants have only one chance to access the funding.
