Apple supplies in Poland
WAPA published data on the level of apple stocks in Polish and European cold stores as of March 1, 2024.
According to World Apple and Pear Association, in March, apple stocks in European cold stores amounted to 2,570,837 tons. This is 56,723 tons less than in 2023. It should be emphasized that this year's March inventories are the lowest in four years.
In Poland, apple stocks as of March 1, 2024 according to WAPA amount to 706,000 tons. Inventories are 59,000 tons lower than last year. Taking into account data from last month - February 1, 2024 - stocks decreased by 206,000 tons.
The largest number of apples are in the
- cold stores of Italian fruit growers - 840,853 tons.
- There are fewer apples stored in Poland - 706,000 tons.
- France is in third place in terms of stocks - 426,144 tons.
As in the rest of Europe, in Poland there are the most
- Golden Delicius apples in cold stores - 190,000 tons.
- In second place is Red Jonaprince - 125,000 tons -
- and Idared - 110,000 tons.
