Future poultry sector Poland

On November 9 we discussed with experts the future of the poultry sector in Poland. It was the third edtion of an Agricultural Knowledge Circle in cooperation with the Netherlands Polish Chamber of Commerce (NPCC) and BNP Paribas Polska. The broadcast is available online.

Poland is the largest poultry meat producer in EU and one of the largest exporters in the EU. The poultry sector in Poland, with a CAGR of 7% over the last 5 years, is one of the best-performing sectors in the whole F&A industry. There is still potential for further growth but the poultry market in Poland is becoming more and more saturated, and simple multiplication of existing solutions does not seem sufficient. Additionally, sustainability and animal welfare are, also in view of European policy, becoming more and more important.

And did you know that the Netherlands is a major supplier of technologies and machinery in the poultry sector in Poland? Read all about that here

During the webinar we discussed the future of the poultry sector in Poland with the following guests:

  • Johan Nap, Manager Operations at 2 Sisters Storteboom in Poland - interview and tour from the primary and processing plant in Poland
  • Magdalena Kowalewska, PhD, Senior Food and Agri Sector Research Analyst, BNP Paribas Group
  • Dariusz Goszczyński, Managing Director of the National Poultry Council – Chamber of Commerce
