2017.11.21 - Round table "Export possibilities for the processed potato from Ukraine"

The round table was organized by the Office of Agricultural Counsellor of the Embassy in cooperation with the Association of Potato Producers of Ukraine and with participation of NAO. The event gathered about 50 Ukrainian producers and processors of potato. The main purpose of the event was to discuss the first finding of the PSD study prepared by NAO on the possibilities of the export of UA potato products. Based on hte fruitful and constructive discussion the study will be finalized by the end of 2017 and will be available through the Embassy and Accosiation of Potato Producers.

2017.10.10 - Dutch-Ukrainian horticultural forum in Nova Kakhovka

The forum was organized in the framefork of the working visit to Nova Kakhovka, Kherson Region in cooperation with Association "Ukrainian Berries, "Kherson Regional State Administration, Kherson CCI and Kherson National Agrarian University. The main forus of the forum was made at production and processing technologies of fruit, vegetables and berries. See the report of this event.

2017.10.10-11 - Working visit to Nova Kakhovka, Kherson Region

The main focus of the working focus of the working visit was on production of procession of fruit, berries and vegetables. 15 Dutch companies - suppliers of materials and technologies for the horticultural sector joined the mission headed by Carolein Spaans, Agricultural Counsellor. 2017.09.21 - V Dutch Dairy Day

Traditionally the V Dutch Dairy Day in Ukraine was organized by the Dutch-Ukrainian Dairy Center, Association of Dairy Producers of Ukraine and Dykun company with support from the Embassy of the Netherlands in Ukraine. The Dutch Dairy Day 2017 took place at Rozvolozhzhja dairy farm. 180 representatives of leading Ukrainian dairy farms participated in the workshops on Dutch innovations and best practices in optimizing daily dairy operations: feeding, forage production and “measuring is knowing”. Absolute novelty this year: the Linear Scoring and Stress Free Stockmanship sessions were conducted by major Dutch dairy experts. The event was very interactive and practical. 2018.09.13 - Patrik van der Duin at Large Farm Management Conference

Mr Patrick van der Duin (www.stt.nl)  took part at LFM 4.0 on 13 September 2017 with presentation about possible scenarios of introduction of disruptive innovations and technologies to agriculture.

2017.06.21 - RijkZwaan Lettuce day

Lettuce day of RijkZwaan Ukraine  gathered the friends and partners of the company - producers of lettuce, retail chains, suppliers of equipment and technologies. The world and Ukrainian trends of the market of lettuce as well as the modern methods of production and processing have been presented during the seminar. Of course RijkZwaan is ahead with innovations including Knox salads, brand new varieties for UA market and the Salanova lettuce cutter. During the event the guests not only learned how to produce the healthy food but also how to cook it. With the RijkZwaan varieties it is not only delicious but also easy and fast - proven by Carolien Spaans - "This is a great initiative to promote the healthy food in Ukraine through the great cooperation with producers, retail and suppliers of the sector. In the rapidly changing world the consumers habits change very fast and this is grate that RijkZwaan is always ahead of this movement and is the global trend-maker in horticultural sector". 2017.06.16 - III Dutch-Ukrainian Seminar of Rosetta Garden

16 June 2017  III Dutch-Ukrainian Seminar of Rosetta Garden "High potential crops for Ukraine: sweet and sour cherry, strawberry and asparagus, pear, apple, plum, blueberry and red currant" in Village Nebylytsia, Makariv District gathered more than 100 Ukrainian fruit and berry growers and Dutch supplies of horticultural sector. Carolien Spaans, Agricultural Counsellor of the Embassy presented the Dutch governmental instruments and support programmes for business and governmental cooperation. The program in running till late afternoon with a number of practical presentations and master classes of Dutch experts. 2017.05.17-19 The Dutch Trade Mission to Vinnytsia

17-19 May 2017 the Dutch Trade Mission to Vinnytsia took place with participation of 17 Dutch companies and international experts.

Vinnytsia is ranked as number 1 of gross output of agriculture including fruit & berries, potato, milk and honey production. This reflects in the Dutch participants of the trade mission. 17 Dutch companies joined, mainly active in agriculture and in providing services to the agricultural sector. It also reflects the core sectors of the Dutch economy; agri-food, horticulture and planting materials, logistics and bio-energy. Together with the Dutch participants, international partners will join to share their expertise of the international financial instruments that can be of support to the Ukrainian partners.

2017.04.24 - The 3rd Joint Meeting of the Dutch-Ukrainian Agricultural Working Group

On 24 April 2017, the third Joint Meeting of the Dutch-Ukrainian Agricultural Working Group has taken place in The Hague. As a result of the Working group meeting a Mutual statement has been signed by the Dutch Ministry of Economic Affairs and the Ukrainian Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food

2017.04.03 - Opening production facility Galicia Greenery

On 3 April 2017 the great occasion gathered the honored guests: representatives of the Embassy, local authorities and media - opening of the 2nd stage of the Dutch investment project “Galicia Greenery” in Busk, Lviv Region.The newly built greenhouse increased the production facility of Galicia to 8000 m2 with capacity over 2 mln plants of lettuce per year.

2017.03.21 - “Jamala” Tulip presentation during exhibition Flower Expo Ukraine 2017

Eurovision Song Contest Winner of 2016 Jamala was present at the exhibition Flower Expo Ukraine 2017 , 21 March to baptize a new “Jamala” Tulip from Dutch company StoKolex.

The representatives of StoKolex Mr. Arno Klijbroek and Mr. Martin Kolken stated that the name of the very talented and beautiful Ukrainian singer is ideal for this bright and strong flower.

StoKolex is specialized in growing and export of flower bulbs for the forcing of tulips to Eastern Europe. They are situated in Dirkshorn (The Netherlands).

Tulips are their main flower but they also deliver daffodils, gladiolus, hyacinths, irises, and lilies.

2017.03.21-23 "Flowers Expo Ukraine"

The Exhibition in Kyiv gathered representatives from 28 Dutch floricultural companies as well as their partners from Ukraine and all over the world. Carolien Spaans, Agricultural Counsellor took part in the opening ceremony. "The Netherlands is a leading global player when it comes to breeding, growing and marketing of bulbs, cut flowers, ornamental plants and trees. Approximately 44% of all the flowers and plants commercially grown worldwide, are Dutch varieties. The Dutch Bulb export even has a market share of some 80% worldwide. With the support of the Dutch technologies the flower sectors of many countries including Ukraine is developing and producing the high quality flowers for the world market. I was glad to know that based on the results of 2016 Ukraine tripled their export of roses while 20% of them were sent to the Netherlands. " - stated Carolien Spaans in her speech. 2017.02.21 - VI Dutch-Ukrainian greenhouse industry forum

VI Dutch-Ukrainian greenhouse industry forum in the framework of Farmer Industry Forum gathered 135 representatives of greenhouse sector of Ukraine including Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine, Association "Agribusiness Club", Association "Greenhouses of Ukraine", producers, traders, experts and suppliers of the sector.

The issues related to the energy efficiency, marketing, investment opportunities and innovative technologies for production of greenhouse products have been discussed during the forum.

2017.02.15-17 - Holland Pavilion at Agro Animal Show in Kyiv

15-17 February 2017  Holland Pavilion at Agro Animal Show in Kyiv gathered 17 Dutch companies representing different sectors of agriculture:seed potatoes, fertilizers,  precision farming, agro support, vegetable storage and post-harvesting equipment, agrobusiness development,  animal feed products, pig farming solutions, housing equipment, feeding systems, grinders and mils for biomass and feed industry, meat processing solutions etc.The event has a broad business programme including VIII Potato Forum, Networking reception, Seminar “Feed Safety Principles & Opportunities for Ukrainian feed companies to access international markets”  etc.

2017.02.15 - VIII Dutch and Ukrainian Agribusiness Potato Forum

February 15, 2017, the VIII Dutch and Ukrainian Agribusiness Potato Forum was held under Fruit. Vegetables. Logistics 2017 International Exhibition Program. Leading Dutch and Ukrainian experts discussed situation on potato market in Ukraine, defined priority directions in developing the area as well as possibilities for Ukrainian producers. During the Forum, a lively exchange of experience on organizing pilot projects on cooperation in Eastern Europe countries and the Netherlands in order to create added value in potato growing was observed.
