1. Foreword Ambassador Désirée Bonis

Dear entrepreneurs,

High time for a proper introduction to all of you who are doing business in Morocco or interested in doing so! It has already been four months since I started my tenure as Dutch ambassador to Rabat and time has passed very quickly, with COP22 in Marrakech as an evident highlight. I was impressed by the excellent organization, outreach and hospitality shown by Morocco during this global event; just one of many signs that this country is able and ready to conduct business at the international level.

Earlier postings in Cairo, Windhoek, New Delhi and Damascus taught me that Dutch entrepreneurs are quite good at seizing opportunities whenever and wherever these occur. Therefore I reckon many of you are already eying the Moroccan markets for the trade and investment possibilities they offer in a context of political stability and steady economic growth.

I look forward to discussing with you Morocco's great commercial potential - maybe even during the Business Day at the Ambassadors Conference on 2 February - while building on the ongoing business operations of various Dutch companies that are already firmly established in this country. We are here to help and will gladly assist you in realizing your company's potential in Morocco!

I wish you a merry Christmas and a happy and prosperous New Year.

Désirée Bonis
