Kyrgyzstan is actively modernizing its organic farming. The country's pollution-free mountains and pastures provide a natural advantage for chemical-free food production. Organic production players in Kyrgyzstan work together with the local authorities to advance their production and positioning at local and international markets. Kyrgyzstan now exports certified organic honey, nuts and dried fruit to European and global markets. The seminar was one more step to develop local extertise and procedures further.
By bringing farmers and experts together a valuable platform for sharing experiences, asking questions, and discussing challenges in organic farming was created. In the discussion sustainable, environmentally friendly, agricultural practices were exchanged, with an eye on food safety.
