According to disclosures, standard ST RK 4050 2026 "Pasteurised camel milk. Specifications" receives approval via an order from the Chairman of the Committee of Technical Regulation and Metrology of the Ministry of Trade and Integration dated 11 September 2026 under Number 41 NQ. KazStandard develops the document within the National Standardisation Plan for 2026. Antigen Scientific Production Company Limited Liability Partnership acts as the applicant.
Traditionally, processors in Kazakhstan deploy camel milk to prepare fermented dairy drinks such as shubat and qymyz. Over the past 15 to 20 years, global interest expands while product offerings widen. Manufacturers produce ice cream and jams from camel milk. Baristas also add it to coffee, such as when preparing camelcino, a variation of cappuccino, because this beverage requires pasteurised camel milk.
"The new standard establishes requirements for product quality, safety, labelling, packaging, transportation, and storage. The document also defines general terminology, product classification, and indicators used to evaluate its characteristics," the trade department clarifies.
The ministry observes that applying the standard will assist producers in broadening product selections for domestic and foreign markets. Promising export markets incorporate Eurasian Economic Union member states, China, and Middle Eastern countries.
"Unified requirements aim to support Kazakhstani producers and strengthen their competitive standing. Developing this sector will also permit diversifying export output and elevating its brand recognition abroad," the Ministry of Trade and Integration underlines.
