On 17 September (12:30 - 17:15 hrs) the "Netherlands – Algeria WEF Nexus Session" will take place at the Netherlands Water Partnership in the Hague. The in-person session will highlight opportunities for Dutch organisations interested in the Algerian water, energy and agricultural sectors. Deadline to register for the session is 14 September.
Jointly organised by the Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO), IHE Delft and Netherlands Water Partnership (NWP), this in-person session will focus on sharing current insights from Algeria and exploring opportunities for collaboration between the Netherlands and Algeria within water management and the Water-Energy-Food (WEF) Nexus.
During the afternoon, participants will gain further insight into Algeria’s evolving policy landscape, key challenges and emerging opportunities across the water, energy and agricultural sectors. Together with representatives from government, the private sector, knowledge institutes and development organisations, we aim to explore:
- Where Dutch expertise and innovations can add value;
- Promising areas for Dutch–Algerian collaboration;
- Concrete pathways for future engagement and business opportunities.
For who?
The session will be particularly relevant for Dutch organisations working on or interested in:
- Sustainable water management and IWRM;
- Climate-smart agriculture;
- Renewable energy and Green Nitrogen transitions;
- Digital solutions for water, energy and food systems.
Programme
The programme will combine plenary contributions and breakout discussions, providing space to exchange knowledge, expand networks and identify opportunities for future collaboration between Dutch and Algerian organisations.
