About the guide
The business guide “Gateway Ukraine: Business Opportunities for Dutch Companies” was prepared by BDO Ukraine for the Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO) and the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Ukraine.
The guide was developed as a practical tool for Dutch businesses interested in Ukraine’s recovery and reconstruction. It covers Ukraine’s macroeconomic and policy context, priority sectors, financial instruments, procurement systems, IFI and donor-funded opportunities, PPPs, practical market-entry issues, risk mitigation and useful resources.
This webinar will present the guide in a practical format. Rather than walking through the document chapter by chapter, the session will show how companies can use the guide based on their own business intention.
Ukraine’s recovery is not one single market-entry route. For Dutch companies, especially SMEs, the key question is not only whether opportunities exist, but which route is realistic for their sector, business model, risk appetite and operational capacity.
During the webinar, we will show how the guide can help companies understand where to start, which chapters to consult first, how to identify the right business route, and how to connect market opportunities with financing, procurement and risk-mitigation instruments.
Participants will learn how to:
- Use the Gateway Ukraine Business Guide as a practical navigation tool.
- Understand the difference between export, partnership, procurement, donor/IFI-funded projects, investment and PPP routes.
- Identify relevant opportunities in Ukraine’s priority sectors, including sustainable energy, agrifood, water, healthcare and circular construction.
- Navigate project pipelines, DREAM, Prozorro and donor/IFI opportunities.
- Consider financing, insurance, logistics, payment security and operational risks before entering the market.
- Define practical next steps for the first 30–90 days.
Who should attend?
The webinar is particularly relevant for Dutch SMEs, exporters, technology providers, engineering and project delivery companies, investors, consultants, business associations and support institutions interested in Ukraine’s recovery and reconstruction.
Successful engagement in Ukraine requires more than general market interest. Companies need to understand who the buyer is, who finances the project, how procurement works, which risks must be managed, and what type of local or institutional partner may be needed.
Join the presentation of the Gateway Ukraine Business Guide and learn how to use it as a practical tool for entering or expanding in Ukraine’s recovery market.
