The Netherlands ranks No 6 among countries importing Ukrainian organic berries and No 1 in terms of import volumes of Ukrainian organic nuts.
For the first time, a comprehensive study on the production and exports of organic berries and nuts to the European Union has been conducted in Ukraine, confirming the strong development potential of these sectors.
UNIDO, under the GQSP Ukraine project funded by Switzerland, together with the Entrepreneurship and Export Promotion Office and Diia.Business, has prepared the Berry and Nut Market Study of Ukraine, presented at the Forum on developing exports in Ukraine's berry and nut sector.
The study covers both the organic and non-organic market segments, offering up-to-date data on production, exports, international trends and sector development prospects. For producers, exporters and industry associations, it serves as a practical tool for data-driven decision-making and export strategy development.

Ukraine remains one of the biggest suppliers of organic products to the European Union
Ukraine remains one of the biggest suppliers of organic products to the European Union, while the “fruit and nut” category represents the largest segment of EU organic imports. Ecuador remains the leading supplier in this category, primarily due to its exports of organic bananas. At the same time, Ukraine ranks among the top ten suppliers in this category thanks to its exports of organic berries and nuts. In value terms, berries and nuts account for more than one-third of Ukraine’s organic exports.
