From 11–13 May 2026, Dutch organic (bio) companies are invited to join a fact-finding mission to Milan, resulting from the collaboration of the Netherlands Agricultural Network at the Dutch Embassy in Rome (LAN-Rome), Export Partner, BioNederland, the Netherlands Enterprise Agency RVO and the Dutch Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, Food Security and Nature, aimed at exploring business opportunities in one of Europe’s most promising food markets. This mission combines tailored market insights, a targeted Meet&Greet, and a visit to the leading international trade fair Tuttofood 2026.
A Truly Organic Program
Italy’s organic sector continues to grow steadily, driven by strong consumer demand for sustainable, high-quality, and healthy products. For Dutch companies, this offers excellent prospects—provided they understand the market structure, distribution channels, and consumer expectations. This mission is designed to do exactly that: help participants quickly grasp the opportunities and challenges of entering the Italian bio market.
The programme includes expert briefings, visits to Italian organic companies and retailers, and meetings with key stakeholders across the value chain. Participants will gain first-hand insights into trends such as plant-based innovation, sustainable packaging, and premium positioning—areas where Dutch companies can stand out.
A central element of the mission is a guided visit to Tuttofood 2026 at Fiera Milano. This internationally renowned B2B exhibition attracts thousands of producers, buyers, and distributors from around the world, offering an ideal platform to spot trends and make valuable connections.
Special attention will be given to Tuttobio by Natexpo, a dedicated organic pavilion showcasing certified bio products and innovations in sustainability. This makes the fair particularly relevant for Dutch bio companies looking to position themselves in the Italian and wider European market.
By combining market intelligence, networking, and exposure at a major trade fair, this mission offers a unique and efficient way to explore Italy’s organic sector. It is an excellent opportunity for Dutch entrepreneurs to expand their network, validate their market strategy, and take concrete steps towards doing business in Italy.
A commitment fee of EUR 650 per company is required for participation. The fee does not include: VAT, travel expenses, accommodation and meals.
Interested? Registration is possible until 15 April by sending an email to Pepijn van der Heijden of Export Partners, also available to provide further information on the mission.
