Strong Dutch presence at CAF 2025, Yangling, China
From 25–29 October, the Embassy of the Netherlands in China joined the China Agricultural High-tech Fair (CAF) in Yangling – marking our 11th consecutive year since the first Netherlands Pavilion in 2015. This year, the Netherlands Pavilion set a record: 16 Dutch companies and local partners showcased Dutch horticulture innovation and high-tech solutions. Exhibitors included Priva, Hoogendoorn, Boal Group Flexibell, Van Der Hoeven, Debets Schalke, MetaZet, Delflandasia, Axia, Dutch Distribution Center, Greefa, Signify, Viscon, RijkZwaan, Jingxi Variety (Fresh Forward), Hewo Orchard (Fruit Consult), and Jingclouds (AgroManager).
On the afternoon of October 25th, the Embassy of the Netherlands in China co-organized the China–Netherlands Horticulture Cooperation Roundtable together with Yangling International Cooperation Bureau and Yangling Agricultural Science Group. 9 companies from each side participated, presenting technical solutions, and exploring cooperation opportunities in protected horticulture, new varieties, digitalization, and smart greenhouse technology. The same evening, the Embassy brought together more than 30 participants from Dutch and Chinese companies to continue conversations, deepen connections, and plant new seeds for future cooperation. Throughout the events, Agricultural Counselor Erik Smidt delivered welcome remarks and highlighted the fruitful milestones and strategic importance of agricultural cooperation between the Netherlands and China, especially the relevance of joint innovation in horticulture, food security, resource efficiency, and nature-inclusive agriculture.
The visit of agricultural team also included an on-site tour of booths presenting agricultural robots and drones. Although some steps still need to be taken to move forward from research and experiments to commercial applications, it is a key field where Dutch and Chinese innovators continue to learn from each other.
The Netherlands is proud to contribute to CAF again, and we look forward to building next steps together towards sustainable and smart agriculture. See you again in Yangling in 2026!
