Young Egyptian Scale-ups in the field of horticulture are invited to join in an Acceleration program. This program helps your business grow through capacity building and matchmaking with the Dutch horticultural sector. The program values Egyptian agriculture entrepreneurs and service providers for their crucial role in fostering a sustainable agricultural transition and scaling up vital innovations within the sector.
Official Call of Applications
Building on the success of the Sustainable Agriculture Service Providers Enterprise Network (SASPEN) launched in 2021, the Netherlands is reinforcing its commitment to the Egyptian agribusiness landscape. SASPEN provided critical technical and business knowledge to approximately 50 promising Egyptian service providers, enabling them to increase their revenue by 20-40% and facilitating valuable connections with Dutch companies seeking to expand their footprint in Egypt. This project served as a successful market entry strategy for prominent Dutch players such as Rijk Zwaan, Koppert, Priva, Hydrosat, and Spaak, further solidifying the bilateral partnership.
This year marks the launch of the second phase: The Egypt Sustainable Agriculture Innovation Hub (Agrovance). This ambitious program aligning with (COMBI) agenda in Egypt, aims to promote climate and water-smart agriculture across the country.
Agrovance: Catalyzing Innovation and Collaboration
The Egypt Sustainable Agriculture Innovation Hub (Agrovance) is a two-year project funded by the Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO) and the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, and implemented by Chemonics Egypt Consultants in partnership with CARE Egypt Foundation. The project is strategically designed to support agribusiness startups and SMEs in Egypt through a tailored acceleration program, comprehensive training, and dedicated mentorship.
Agrovance supports climate-smart practices, encourages innovation, and enhances competitiveness within the Egyptian agribusiness sector. It contributes to job creation, promotes youth inclusion, and facilitates connections between participating Egyptian companies and Dutch companies looking to establish joint ventures and expand their operations in Egypt.
