A recent study commissioned by Dutch Embassy in Bosnia and Herzegovina showed its poultry sector is growing rapidly to meet growing regional demand for poultry meat and eggs. At the same time, the country is preparing to join the EU, which will require the sector to adapt to EU regulations and production standards on food safety, animal health and welfare, and the environment. This growth and sustainable modernization drive will bring opportunities for cooperation.
Companies participating in the mission will:
- Get good insight into doing business in Bosnia-Herzegovina in a short time;
- Get an idea of how your company can further help make the poultry sector in the country more sustainable and increase animal health and welfare standards;
- Get a good overview of the state of play of the sector, by visiting multiple poultry farms and meeting representatives of the branch organizations and laboratories;
- Get access to policy and decisionmakers from the different layers of government in the country relevant to the poultry sector;
- Have plenty of opportunities to network to find new partners and potential customers in the country and the wider region.
