On 15 July 2025 there is a webinar for Ukrainian soy exporters (and Dutch companies active in Ukraine): "EUDR Enforcement in The Netherlands: What You Need to Know."

About the webinar

On Tuesday July 15 2025 at 15.30 Kyiv time (14:30 CET), there will be a joint UCAB – Netherlands Embassy webinar with the Dutch Food and Safety Authority (NVWA) about EUDR Enforcement in the Netherlands.

The online meeting is intended for soy exporters in Ukraine.

EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR)

The implementing Regulation under the EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR) classifies countries according to their risk of deforestation when producing the seven commodities covered by EUDR; cattle, cocoa, coffee, oil palm, rubber, soya and wood.

Ukraine has been classified as a low risk country. However, under the Regulation, any operator or trader who places these commodities on the EU market, or exports from it, must be able to prove that the products do not originate from recently deforested land or have contributed to forest degradation. This is among others done by providing documents and data showing that the product is deforestation-free and legal, such as geolocation coordinates, quantity, country of production, etc.

From 30 December 2025 the rules will apply for medium and large operators and traders. From 30 June 2026 the rules begin to apply for micro and small enterprises.

Since the Netherlands is a major importer of Ukrainian soy, UCAB and the Embassy of the Netherlands are hosting a joint webinar about the EUDR Enforcement in the Netherlands.
