Reflecting on the Dutch-Kenyan Trade Mission: Advancing Sustainable Agriculture & Water Management

On 20 March 2025, we concluded a 4-day inspiring and impactful Dutch trade mission to Kenya, dedicated to strengthening bilateral cooperation in sustainable agriculture and water management .

Led by a high-level delegation of Dutch government representatives, sector experts, and business leaders, the trade mission created a dynamic platform for Dutch and Kenyan stakeholders to connect, exchange ideas, and explore long-term, mutually beneficial partnerships.

Over the course of the week, the delegation visited a range of innovative projects and institutions across Kenya, gaining firsthand insight into the country's agribusiness potential and pressing water management needs . These visits were complemented by a series of matchmaking sessions, thematic forums, and field engagements, where meaningful conversations flourished and new opportunities for collaboration emerged.

Key discussions delved into trade, policy frameworks, investment strategies, and innovative financing models, all with the shared goal of fostering a more sustainable, resilient, and inclusive future.

As we look back on the outcomes of the mission, one thing is clear: Kenya and the Netherlands are aligned in their vision a partnership grounded in innovation, shared values, and a commitment to inclusive development.

The relationships and momentum built during the mission continue to drive forward dialogue, investment prospects, and concrete areas of collaboration between our two nations
