Thailand Food and Drug Administration launches new e-certificate verification system for foreign importer

Effective May 1, 2025, Thailand’s FDA has introduced a fully electronic system for certifying regulated products, aiming to improve service efficiency and transparency.

As of May 1, 2025, The Food and Drug Administration (FDA), Ministry of Public Health of Thailand, has officially implemented a fully electronic system for the issuance and verification of certificates for wide range of regulated products, including medicines, food, medical devices, cosmetics, hazardous substances, and herbal products under its regulation. This initiative aims to improve public service delivery and strengthen accountability in the certification process.

Stakeholders, including Dutch companies importing from or operating in Thailand, can now verify the authenticity of Thai FDA-issued certificates by using either the electronic file or reference number via the newly established e-Certificate Verification System.
