Kyrgyzstan strengthens international veterinary cooperation
On 26 May 2025 the delegation of Kyrgyzstan headed by Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers - Minister of Water Resources, Agriculture and Processing Industry Bakyt Torobaev held a working meeting with Director General of the World Organization for Animal Health (WOAH) Emmanuel Soubeyran.

According to the ministry, the parties discussed the prospects for the development of the veterinary industry in Kyrgyzstan, animal health protection and strengthening international cooperation. As part of the talks, key areas of further interaction were identified, including the implementation of joint programs, training of veterinary specialists, development of laboratory infrastructure and exchange of information. It is noted that cooperation with WOAH will not only improve the epizootic situation, but also expand the export potential of Kyrgyzstan in the agricultural sector.
One of the priorities for the country remains the prevention of animal diseases, expansion of diagnostic capabilities and the introduction of international veterinary standards.
The meeting in Paris is expected to be a new stage in deepening the partnership between Kyrgyzstan and WOAH.
