Indonesia: SNI Certificate
Are you doing or planning to do business in Indonesia? If one of your agri-food commodities is one that requires an SNI certificate, then there are several things you need to know you have to be aware about. According to regulations in Indonesia, the SNI certificate, which stands for Indonesian National Standard, is a mandatory certification. The certificate is important for domestic and international manufacturers to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and standards set by the Indonesian National Standardization Agency (BSN).
Please beware of the following
We would like to ask Dutch companies to stay alert when approached actively by supposedly Indonesian entities, regarding SNI-certification. The Netherlands Embassy in Jakarta has received several complaints related to a company PT SUKURANA SUMABRI. We suspect the company of malicious practices, and would like to ask all Dutch companies to be alert when approached by this and similar companies.
Please make sure to complete the SNI-checklist below that will help you to do business with Indonesian partners safely and smoothly.
