EU money available for Romanian farmers starting from June 30th

The first projects with European funds that can be submitted to AFIR Paying Agency this year will be for the Installation of Young Farmers as well as for Investments in the Livestock Sector. The sessions for the two interventions will open on June 30, announced George Chiriță, AFIR's director general.

Chiriță gave an interview to Agrostrategia, during which he made several announcements of interest to farmers. One of them concerns the opening of the first sessions of projects with European funding from Romania's National Strategic Plan - NSP.

As already announced in the estimated timetable, one of the interventions to be launched in June is DR-30 Support for the installation of young farmers, with an indicative allocation of 250,691,764 euros. The unexpected good news is that the second intervention that is to be launched is DR-20 Investments in the livestock sector with an indicative allocation of €224 610 728.

"The estimated timetable is made for 30 June, and according to the way things look now, we will certainly be on time and there will be no reason for delay," said the director general.

"We have now the first measures that we have proposed based on the estimated timetable: those for irrigation - two measures; support for young farmers; then we have a very interesting measure for investments in the livestock sector, somewhere in July 2023; and we have for our public beneficiaries - local authorities, municipalities, two interventions, namely investment in infrastructure for agricultural roads and communal roads," said the AFIR representative.
