Poland: grain export to third countries

By January 1, Poland had exported twice as much grain outside the European Union year-on-year.

Per European Commission data, outside the European Union since the beginning of the season, July 1 to January 1,

Poland has already exported 1.61 million tons of cereals, the 4th result in the EU.

Outside the Union, Poland exports mainly soft wheat (80%), durum wheat (9%) and corn (7%), and Poland's share of EU exports is 7.2%.

The top three are France (8.5 million tons), Romania (3.2 million tons) and Germany (3 million tons). Poland is followed by Latvia, Lithuania and Bulgaria.

Recall that the main buyers of EU soft wheat are Morocco: 2.31 million tons (14%); Algeria: 2.19 million tons (13%); Egypt: 1.59 million tons (10%) and Nigeria: 1.33 million tons (8%).
