Vacancy CEO Netherlands Food Partnership

The Netherlands Food Partnership is looking for a new CEO to take the organisation into its next phase and help realise its ambitious agenda. Deadline for applications is November 21st.

Netherlands Food Partnership (NFP) is an umbrella initiative in which existing organisations and networks in LMICs and the Netherlands are able to pool and mobilise their knowledge and expertise, thus taking Dutch efforts for global food security to the next level. Food systems are complex, while actors are not always well connected or do not have the mandate, means or access to knowledge or know-how. Joint efforts of LIMC and Dutch partners can help foster healthier, more sustainable and more equitable food systems in LMICs.

NFP convenes Food System Transformation Community and Collective impact coalition processes between international parties and relevant Dutch organisations, to achieve urgent transformations of food systems in LMICs. This contributes towards ending hunger, achieving food security, improving nutrition and promoting sustainable agriculture.

Over the start-up phase 2020-2022, NFP successfully laid the groundwork for new partnerships through preparatory work on cross-sector transformations. This included work on topics such as Food and Stability, Water/Food nexus, Digital Ecosystem Services for Smallholder Farmers, Youth and Circular Agriculture. Knowledge and experience exchange was organised under a ‘Community of Practice’ approach, which resulted in ideas for collaboration.

The new CEO is to bring NFP to the next level, further professionalise the organisation, strengthen its position in the ecosystem and steer on  impact. The ideal candidate is a strong connector, with in-depth knowledge of food systems and experience in LMIC and navigating NFPs societal and political context.
