New colleague in Warsaw

Olaf works at the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Warsaw, Poland, on the position of Agricultural Advisor.

He deals with policies, market, production and trade developments in the field of agriculture, food quality, nature, and life sciences.

Olaf has graduated from Warsaw University of Life Sciences (Life Sciences, Food Quality & Production). He worked as an academic lecturer and scientist in the field of Food Quality and Safety, Food Production and Food Products Development. He gained his work experience during international internships e.g. at Harvard University and Ghent University. As a scientist he participated in many international research projects within European Union. He is the author and co-author of many publications from the food science area.

Olaf has had also experience in agricultural policy sector due to and internships at the International Institutions as European Parliament.

He has an interest in research in the food production, food safety and food quality including plant-based products and new alternatives for animal-based products. Actual he finishing his PhD studies at his Alma Mater (Warsaw University of Life Sciences).

He speaks Polish (native) and English.
