This opinion was expressed by Taras Kachka during the conference "Food Systems: Ukrainian Context", which took place on June 9 as part of the agro-industrial exhibition Agro-2021. The event was held under the auspices of the Ministry of Economy and Ministry of Agrarian Policy and with the support of the FAO UN.
The event was attended by First Deputy Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine Taras Vysotsky, First Deputy Head of the State Environmental Inspectorate of Ukraine Dmytro Zaruba, FAO Coordinator for Government Relations and Donors in Ukraine Mykhailo Malkov, representatives of agricultural associations and industry experts.

The ideology of shaping our food policy in terms of food systems is to make ourselves understood by the world, and to perceive any challenges we face not as a threat, but as a chance, "said Deputy Minister Taras Kachka.
In particular, the conference participants expressed their views on the impact of climate change on food systems and agricultural development, considered environmental issues, the formation of Ukraine's agricultural policy, including import substitution of some cereals and expanding state support programs for agricultural business.
