Lam Dong’s honey is consumed domestically and also exported internationally to markets such as the United States and China.

Lam Dong Province is supporting production chains between beekeepers and businesses to promote the consumption of honey products, in order to increase the quality, output and value of local honey.

Plantation:

The area of rice cultivation in 2020 of Hau Giang Province is 196,779 hectares. The average productivity reached 6.6 tons/hectare, up 0.25 tons/hectare over the same period last year. The total yield reached 1,308,612 tons, up 3.95% over the same period last year.

The average rice price in 2020 is VND300-1,000/kilogram, higher than the same period in 2019. Thanks to the higher rice price, farmers can earn a profit of 30% this year.

In addition, Hau Giang Province’s agriculture sector and localities also associate production with the consumption of agricultural products and building large fields. About 25 companies, businesses and cooperatives have signed off rice-consumption contracts for 30,052 hectares with 23,509 households participating.

Pet, Flowers and Ornamental Plants:

Every late October and early November of the lunar calendar is the time when peach blossom-growing villages in Hanoi City begin to prepare for the upcoming Lunar New Year.

Harvesting and plucking leaves are considered one of the most important steps, deciding whether the crop is profitable or not.

Peach blossom growing often depends a lot on the weather, but plucking leaves also determines a successful crop. Weather and human hands are the influences for the flower to bloom.

Fruits:

With 10,000 hectares, the output of orange estimated at 63,000 tons, Ha Giang Province currently has two main products, yellow orange (“cam vang”) and King orange (“cam sanh”). The province is improving its product quality with safe farming models and promoting deep processing to increase product value.

In particular, Ha Giang Province's King orange has the largest farming area in the midland and mountainous Northern provinces, with a total area of 6,849.1 hectares. Ha Giang Province's King orange is certified by the Vietnam Association of Food Science and Technology as "Delicious, quintessential Vietnamese cuisine".

Farmers, Agriculture, Countryside:

At the online conference between the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development of Vietnam and the General Administration of Customs of China to promote trading of agricultural products, the heads of these two agencies signed a protocol to export Chinese mesona (Mesona chinensis Benth) to China.

Lang Son Province currently has the largest Chinese mesona farming area in Vietnam with an area of about 2,000 hectares. The province has an output of over 10,000 tons of Chinese mesona/year. The protocol to export Chinese mesona will provide better opportunities for local farmers. Besides, Cao Bang Province and many Southern provinces can also develop this crop for export.

Living and Environment:

The Prime Minister has just issued a directive on strengthening the management and control of invasive alien species.

Recently, a number of invasive alien species have appeared in some localities, with the risk of negatively affecting local biodiversity, environment, socio-economy, especially in the agricultural sector, forestry and fishery. The risk of illegally importing, farming and spreading invasive alien species in Vietnam is quite high.

The main reason is due to insufficient awareness of the harmful risks of smuggling, farming, and releasing of these invasive alien species.
