Premium Porc invests EUR1.6M in another Romanian farm

Danish-held Premium Porc group, the second largest pork producer in Romania, has invested EUR1.6 milion in the Ianca farm complex in Braila County it bought at end of last year.

The complex takes up about 25 hectares and includes two farms, Matador and Golita, retooled in February-June 2020.

“The acquisition of the Ianca complex was a step forward for Premium Porc and proof of our promise: we are growing in Romania. In almost 15 years here we have increased production capacity year by year and now have ten farms of our own, following more than EUR181 million investments. Our plans won’t stop here, we will continue to develop the business in Romania,” said Sergiu Mititelu, country manager of Premium Porc Group.

Premium Porc Group has ten vertically integrated companies in Romania, which grow grain, fodder, and raise swine. The group owns swine farms in Braila, Brasov, Constanta, Olt, Sibiu and Vrancea Counties in Romania.
