Vietnam: 380 types of plant protection chemicals are removed from the list
The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development has issued a Decision No. 501/QĐ-BVTV about the removal of plant protection chemicals containing Chlorpyrifos Ethyl and Fipronil from the list of plant protection chemicals that are allowed to be used in Vietnam
Attached to Decision 501 is the list of 228 types of commercial chemicals containing Chlorpyrifos Ethyl, and 152 types of commercial chemicals containing Fipronil ( in that 10 types of commercial chemicals containing both Chlorpyrifos Ethyl and Fipronil).
According to Decision 501, the commercials chemicals containing Chlorpyrifos Ethyl and Fipronil are allowed to to be imported for up to 1 year and traded for up to 2 years from the effective date of the decision.
Particularly, the registration procedures for plant protection chemicals containing 2 active substances, Chlorpyrifos Ethyl and Fipronil, will be suspended from the effective date of the Decision are 12/2/2019.
