Uganda : Successful Trade Mission and Harvest Money Expo 2019

This year’s Agri – Trade Mission in combination with a Holland Village at the Harvest Money Expo 2019, took place from 14 – 18 February. A delegation of 15 Dutch companies in Dairy, Poultry and Horticulture, traveled to Uganda for the Trade Mission and Expo. For each sector there were tailored field visits and match makings arranged by Agriprofocus and NEC.

Harvest Money Expo 2019

The Harvest Money Expo was again a big success. The Harvest Money Expo is a spin-off event from the very successful Best Farmer Award in Uganda, which is sponsored by The Netherlands embassy, KLM, DFCU Bank (Rabobank) and KoudIJs, and which has given the Netherlands a very strong image in agriculture. The Netherlands is the first country where Ugandans will look, for anything related to agriculture. The expo is professionalizing every year and the visitor’s numbers are rising. Last year there were 30.000 visitors. The number of visitors of this year’s expo is not known yet. Besides the 15 Dutch companies, there were 35 Dutch-Ugandan companies and 20 Best Farmers. The expo was very well received by all participants of the Holland Village.

Next year’s expo will take place from 14 – 16 February 2020. Reserve the dates in your agenda, because we will be there!
