Frisian Flag Indonesia Launches The First Independent Dairy Village In Lembang, West Java, Indonesia

Lembang, December 11, 2018 - PT Frisian Flag Indonesia (FFI) launched the first independent dairy village, supported and co-funded  by the Dutch and Indonesian Government. The event was attended by the Agriculture Counsellor of the Netherlands embassy in Jakarta, Mr. Louis Beijer, the Chairman of the Unity of Indonesia Milk Cooperation (GKSI), Mr. Dedi Setiadi, the Governor of West Java, Mr. Ridwan Kamil, and representatives from the Ministry of Agriculture, Ministry of Cooperative, Ministry of State and Ministry of Industry.

The Dairy Village is a modern and sustainable farm in which 5 to 10 Indonesian dairy farmers work together and brings all aspects of sustainable dairy production together to boost the quality and quantity of the farmers’ milk production. The Dutch Government supports this initiative which aims to improve the welfare of farmers. It is an example to others, as it support to improve food security as 80% of milk is imported.
