On 1-2 November 2018 the Economic forum was held in Lviv. During the forum an agricultural session was organized. The honorary consul together with the embassy organized an event for Dutch business to share the results of the western Ukraine study. Also, the agricultural counsellor visited logistics company E. van Wijk.

During the agricultural session, current state and opportunities in agriculture were discussed, with both local and (inter)national experts. In 2017 the agricultural export from Lviv oblast was $423,4 mln, while for the country this was approx $20 bln. Export consists mainly of ready to eat products as well as plantbased products. These plantbased products consist mainly of grains and (oil)seeds.
During the event for Dutch business a presentation was given about the recently presented study about potential of western Ukraine. The study focuses not only on agricultural but also on other economic sectors and looks into the opportunities for cooperation between Dutch and Ukrainian business.
