Spain reduces its peppers exports, while those of Netherlands and Morocco grow

In 2017, Spain exported 717.57 million kilos of peppers, 2.48% less than the previous year. In the same period, the Netherlands exported 474.07 million kilos (+17.93) and Morocco 114.53 million kilos (+3.26%).

Spanish peppers exports fell by 2.4% in 2017, reaching 715.57 million kilos. Of that amount, 664.39 million kilos were sent to the EU (+2.46%). The Netherlands imported 77.62 million kilos.

For its part, the Netherlands exported 17.93% more peppers, 474.07 million kilos, of which 389.42 million were sent to the EU.

The Moroccan peppers export was 114.52 million kilos (+3.26%), of which 101.12 million kilos were bought by the EU (+0.47%). Spain remained as its main customer receiving 41.04 million kilos.
