Dutch Flower Exhibition in Tropical Thailand
The Netherlands is a global leader in growing and exporting tulips and lilies. The Dutch tulips and lilies have travelled to worldwide destinations including Burirum Province of Thailand. The Dutch flower 'tulip and lily' are now playing a key role to promote local tourist industry of Burirum and near by in the North Eastern Region of Thailand.
Thanks to Mrs. Pornthip Asdathorn, founder and CEO of Play La Ploen Park in Burirum, for creating a unique all year round Dutch Flowers Exhibition (Tulip, Lilies, Hyacinth, Amaryllis) at Play La Ploen Park to show the amazing world of Dutch Floriculture and horticulture in connection to the Netherlands and local culture. “Play La Ploen Park is an example of successful collaboration between private sector, government and research institutions, generating socio-economic added value to society” Paul Menkveld, the Netherlands Chargé d Affaires a.i. said during his visit to Play La Ploen recently. The Governor of Burirum, Mr. Anusorn Kaewkangwan, thanked the Chargé for the continued support of the Netherlands Embassy in Bangkok for Thai – Dutch horticultural collaboration. Visitors can explore the seasonal Dutch Lilies Garden in Burirum from 1st of March till end of May 2018.
