A Dutch investment fund acquires a winery in Cataluña

The family-owned company Juvé & Camps has been purchased by a Dutch fund worth €80 million.

The winery, which a benchmark in the production of sparkling wines under the Denomination of Origen of Cava, invoices around €25 million a year, and has 450 hectares of its property, 270 of them for the production of grapes with ecological certification.

About 19% of its cava production is exported, mainly to the US. At a national level, 41% of its sales are in Cataluña.

The company’s sale has not been affected by the political crisis unleashed by the illegal acts of the now ex regional government, because the negotiations were very advanced since some time ago.
